RSS FEEDS – What Are They?
RSS is short for “Really Simple Syndication” and this handy online service has revolutionized the way we Search for Content on the Worldwide Web.
With RSS, it’s not necessary for Web Searchers to keep checking back to the sites they visit to see if its info has been Updated. All they need to do is subscribe to the site’s “RSS Feed,” much like you would subscribe to a Newspaper. After that, the content is automatically emailed to them; delivered into what is called an RSS feed “READER” – like Google Reader, for instance.
